Artist Statement

Study of nature has brought an inherent organic quality to my work. My aesthetic focuses on capturing sensations of light and color along with the emotions these can inspire. My style gains strength from my exploration and direct handling of various mediums – paint that I have an intimacy with because I make it myself. Painting is this process of discovery without fear or repression with the potential of bringing forth new forms of expression.
