Alvarez is a fine arts photographer from Puerto Rico whose subjects include the recent US political rallies and demonstrations, archives of architectural sites, and pictures of discarded keepsakes. He holds a BFA from The Rhode Island School of Design and has maintained a living and work space inside a renovated former pickle factory in Fishtown.
Henderson’s painting is in the permanent collection of Park Towne. Much of her work explores portraiture and social gathering. She depicts her subjects at unguarded moments of vulnerability, reflection or preoccupation. Henderson holds an MFA from The University of Pennsylvania.
