Artist Tom Judd has created a compelling workshop that deals with collage and assemblage as a way of thinking and making artwork. It will take place at his studio. The workshop will include:
- A presentation about the history of collage and assemblage in Modern and Contemporary Art.
- A hands-on session where participants will be creating their own artwork, telling their stories through this long-practiced technique of collage. Basic supplies will be provided but participants are asked to bring their own photographs, postcards, books, and other printed materials to use in their collages.
- A follow-up conversation where participants can talk about the experience and what they discovered, creating a context that can be applied to future projects.
Lunch will be provided
