Recent Awards, Workshops, Publications, and Projects

Nancy Kress has had her painting “sectors at the sanctuary” selected for Main Line Art Center’s 2017 Spring Gala show.

Jack Knight has been invited to be included in a new book, “Delmarva School of Art” to be published by Moonshell Productions this summer featuring over 100 artists from the Delmarva region.

Susan Benarcik will be hosting a workshop: Introductory Pysanky: The Ukrainian Painted Egg. Sunday April 9, 2017, 1-4pm or Monday, April 10, 2017, 5:30 – 8:30 pm. Highland Arts Garage, 2003 W. 17th Street, Wilmington, DE.

Nicole Patrice Dul will be hosting a workshop alongside Reena Brooks: Mixed Media Leather Cuff Bracelets. The workshop runs from April 8, 2017, 2-5pm or April 9, 2017, 1-4pm. Greater Philadelphia Expo Center at Oaks, 100 Station Avenue, Oaks, PA.

June Julian has her work and her Vallay and North Uist Archaeology/Climate Change project will be sold by The American Scottish Foundation as part of the fundraising for a second season of archaeology field work in Vallay & North Uist in summer 2017.

Erica Harney has her painting, HIDE AND SEEK, published in the March 7th publication of the Journal of the American Medical Association. To learn more, check out the article abstract.

Neil Marcello has received the Bronze award in the International Photographers of the Year 2016 competition. He received the award for his work on the Sweet Tooth photographic project, submitted to the Fine Art Conceptual (professional) category.

E. Sherman Hayman has been featured in the article, Big Thoughts, Tiny Packages- Small Sculptures in City Hall, published on The Art Blog.

Agathe Bouton has been selected as semifinalist in The Print Center’s 91st Annual International Competition, online exhibition, which will be launch in May 2017 at printcenter.org.

Roberto Lugo‘s All About the Benjamins Century Vase has been acquired by the Philadelphia Museum of Art for their permanent Contemporary Crafts and Decorative Arts collection.
