Artist Bio

Leslie Mutchler earned a BFA from Kent State University (2002) and an MFA from Tyler School of Art (2004). Her multidisciplinary work challenges our expectations of accumulation and minimization by sourcing from a recognizable vocabulary of modern and contemporary furniture, and interior and architectural design trends.

Mutchler’s installations and collages have been included in numerous solo and group exhibitions. Recent solo shows include (F)utility Kitchen, Snowflake, St. Louis, MO (2011); SOS, TAG, Pensacola, FL (2010); Outer Space/Green Space, Courtyard Gallery, AT&T Conference Center, Austin, TX (2010); OverGrowth, CactusBra Space, San Antonio, TX (2009); and Adapted Utopia, Crane Arts Building, Philadelphia, PA (2009).

Currently, Mutchler is Assistant Professor at the University of Texas at Austin.
