Artist Statement

My work explores ideas of humor, loss, death, loneliness and attraction. I work with materials that lend themselves over to manipulation, such as paper mache, plaster, pigmented wax, paints, and metals. I use them to make anthropomorphic forms. I seek a raw and often visceral reaction to be elicited from my sculptures, drawings and paintings.

I consistently work in an intuitive mode seeking an unspeakable subconscious language that is present in materials and form. Through this I express my inner thoughts, ideas, and emotions.
