Welcome to My Garden

This series of photographs portrays the backyards of my family members, friends, and neighbors. They have graciously allowed me into their homes, their personal space, and their lives. I am interested in backyards because they are places where the random items of life tend to collect. My intention is to capture a still life of the various tools, trashcans, ladders, brooms, and other everyday objects. I am interested in how the objects, their organization, color and form, together uncover the personality and character of their owners.

Artist Bio

Marian Stasiorowski is a recent graduate of Arcadia University in Glenside, PA. She received, with honors, her BA in Studio Arts with a concentration in Photography. She is currently employed full-time as a school portrait photographer.
