Artist Statement

I create objects and installations that yield collaboration. Collaboration allows me to produce work that is a synthesis of two or more practices. It enables me to draw on skills I don’t possess, facilitates an uncertain result and allows for criticism to have a reflexive place in the process.

Collaboration takes place in conversations, through an exchange of objects and by interacting with an audience. Through indexing, archiving and organizing I guide viewers to browse, reflect or alter the work. Histories, categories and maps are the byproducts of these interactions. My work acts as an interface between myself, other artists and an audience.
