Artist Statement

I bring static drawings to life in order to create varying perspectives on time, motion and consciousness.

By hand-drawing abstract biomorphic forms, I involve myself in personal and intimate ways with my work, intuitively connecting each individual image and then sequencing them to give them life and vitality as if they were sentient beings. Together these animated forms create a visual language that I mix and remix to create art that moves, lives and breathes in immersive and interactive ways.

Inspired by the mysteries of existence, I research scientific positions, experiments and theories, particularly relating to biology and the science of life. I explore what lies beyond the material world, perhaps to chance upon or even discover new ways of looking, thinking and experiencing the universe in which we live.
