Benefit v.14: Artists Submission

InLiquid is once again calling for artwork for our annual Silent Auction & Benefit v.14 this coming February. This year our fundraiser and exceptional exhibition of work will take place on Saturday, February 8, 2014 at the Crane Arts Building in the incredible Ice Box Project Space.

This much-anticipated event is not only a fabulous social happening but also a showcase for exceptional contemporary art. Most importantly of course, this benefit event is the major annual fundraiser for InLiquid, which supports and promotes visual artists while serving as a comprehensive hub and catalyst for our region’s arts community.

This year we have invited a group of select jurors to choose three artists from all submissions to be considered to create a special limited edition print for our event guests and sponsors*. Deadline for jurying process December 10, 2013.

Your artwork and information will be viewable at the auction mini-site on InLiquid.org prior to the auction (the web site receives over 55,000 unique visitors per month); you will also receive one complimentary ticket and a half-price ticket for one guest. We are expecting the exhibition to reach upwards of approximately 150+ works for this event alone.

DETAILS:
• Only One (1) donation per an artist
• 2D work should not exceed 1,200 square inches framed h” x w” (e.g. 40″ x 30″ = 1,200″)
• Images must be submitted through the online form below, by email to saraz@inliquid.org, or sent in on a CD
• No work will be accepted as a submission prior to schedule drop off dates (unless by special arrangement)

To participate, please fill out the online form below, or click here for the pdf version. Please note you will be asked for an image of the donated piece, a short artist bio, and short artist statement. This information will be used on the auction website and to help market you.

Donation submissions must be received by Monday, December 9 at noon in order to be included in the jurying for the limited edition print, while the final deadline for donations is Monday, January 13, 2014. *Note: If you wish to be excluded from the jurying process for the print edition, please check the appropriate box on the form.

  • Final deadline for donations is Monday, January 12, 2015. Please note all prospective submissions will be screened. Upon acceptance of donation you will receive information on drop off dates/times. No more than one (1) donations per an artist, unless part of a diptych or triptych.

  • Please note*: All 2D work must be wired and ready to hang. The walls in the "exhibition space" are very thick concrete (pins and thumbtacks will not work for installation). Unframed pieces should be at the very least matted or backed and wrapped nicely in Mylar for presentation purposes.

    Size Restrictions

    Due to the average number of pieces we receive no 2D work should exceed 1,200 square inches framed h" x w" (e.g. 40" x 30" = 1,200"). For oversize work, please contact us before submitting for approval if unsure.

  • Please note digital image should be an accurate representation of the donated piece as this is what will be used for screening purposes.

    Please rename your image file to include your name, e.g. smith_john_3.jpg or smith_john_untitled.jpg.

    Note: we might request a higher res image (300 dpi, smallest dimension no smaller than 2000 pixels) if needed for press purposes.

  • Please choose one of the following options below:

    • I want the total proceeds of the sale of the piece to go to the beneficiary.
    • I want 50% of the proceeds of the sale of the piece to go to the beneficiary and the remaining 50% to the artist (me).
