All In The Family

Works by Artists and Their Children, Grandchildren, Parents and Siblings.

All In the Family, a selected exhibition of local and national art-making families, will be on view April 14 – May 29th, 2011 at the Green Line Locust.
One of the biggest myths of the art world is the artist genius, struggling alone in his studio trying to create work. Sure, there are plenty of artists working by themselves, but there are just as many artists who make art with their kids or who have made art with their artist-parents. Others have spent their childhood making art with their sibling, both going on to careers in the arts. All In The Family, organized by Timothy Buckwalter, is a lively look at nearly a dozen art-making clans.

An opening reception is on April 15th from 5:00 pm to 7:30 pm.
