Recent Awards, Workshops, Publications, and Projects

Neil Marcello has received the Bronze award in the International Photographers of the Year 2016 competition. He received the award for his work on the Sweet Tooth photographic project, submitted to the Fine Art Conceptual (professional) category.

Agathe Bouton has been selected as semifinalist in The Print Center’s 91st Annual International Competition, online exhibition, which will be launch in May 2017 at

Mark Havens published Out of Season: The Vanishing Architecture of the Wildwoods, a new photography book about the unique architecture of Wildwood hotels.

Jacqueline Unanue has been featured in Cleaver Magazine Issue 15 and in Al Dia News for her exhibition Journeys: Catalonia & Euskadi at St Asaph Gallery. Her artwork titled “Valle del Elqui” will be hung in the recently inaugurated New Corona Mistral School Campus, named for Chilean Nobel laureate Gabriela Mistral, in Queens, New York.

PD Packard has a new video on her technique of Printing Decorative Papers with Akua Inks, published on YouTube. Sponsored by Akua Inks and Speedball Art Products.

Miriam Singer has a new mural up at 1016 Buttonwood St., Philadelphia. She was recently interviewed by Zoe Cohenon at Title Magazine.

Jay Walker has been featured on the cover of The Seen Journal and on the cover of Jaffrey Clark’s new serialized book, The Nobleman. Along with the Nobleman cover, each week there will be a new chapter released featuring a new drawing.

Barbara Schaff has had three paintings accepted into the collection of New York Presbyterian Hospital, New York, NY.

Cynthia Back has been awarded with a fully-funded residency for September and October 2016 at the Nordic Artist’s Center, located in Dale, Norway.

Michele C. Kishita has launched a new business: Michele Kishita Writing. Michele will provide services that help artists to have greater impact and to generate excitement in galleries, professional programs and potential buyers.

Michel Delgado has won the Best of Mansail award at the Mansail Art Festival in St. Petersburg, Florida.

Mary Powers Holt has been awarded second prize in the Art on Avenue of the States juried Landscape and Photography show.

Linda Dubin Garfield’s mixed media piece Endless Wonder 2 has won Best in Show in A Celebration of Art and Life 2016, curated by Marsha Moss. 

Cheryl Harper has curated an exhibition for the Gershman Y to honor the 50th anniversary of a two-evening appearance at the Gershman Y by Andy Warhol, the Velvet Underground, and superstar Nico. The show is titled Underground Nights: When Warhol’s Exploding Plastic Inevitable Met The Y and runs December 1 – January 4.
