Open to U.S. resident artists at least 18 yrs. old. Exception: Artists currently represented by FIRST STREET GALLERY. Eligible works include oils, acrylics, watercolors, pastels, drawings, prints, mixed media, photography, and sculpture in any medium. No video, film, installation, or mechanically reproduced artwork (computer, giclees, etc.).
Entry fee is $35 for 1 – 3 works. $5 for each additional work up to 6 works total. Entry fees are non-refundable. Online entries only.
About The Juror
Peter Colon is the Associate Director at DC Moore Gallery in New York City. Founded in 1995, DC Moore Gallery represents nationally and internationally known contemporary artists whose diverse practices include painting, drawing, photography, sculpture, and installation, as well as important estates and foundations. Prior to coming to DC Moore in
2014, Peter was Associate Director at Matthew Marks Gallery; before that, for many years, he was Artist Liaison at Fraenkel Gallery, a prestigious gallery exploring photography and its relation to other arts. Earlier gallery associations include Alpha Gallery in Boston, John Berggruen Gallery, and Hackett-Freedman Gallery both in San Francisco. Recently he was a key collaborator in the organization of several traveling museum exhibitions: Garry Winogrand (2014), at the San Francisco Museum of Art, The National Gallery of Art, The Metropolitan Museum of Art, The Jeu De Paume (2015) and the Fundación Mapfre (2015); The Sun and Other Stars: Katy Grannan and Charlie White (2012) at the Los Angeles
County Museum of Art; and Ralph Eugene Meatyard: Dolls and Masks (2011) at the Art Institute of Chicago, the San Francisco de Young Museum and The Philadelphia Museum of Art. He is passionate about his work with artists, institutions, and collectors.
