Champions of Empty Rooms’ “More Stately Mansion” exhibition seeks to transform a gallery space into the interior of a “mansion” using free/recycled materials.
The exhibition would feature works, made of found/free/recycled materials, that transform the interior of the gallery space into the artist’s take a mansion featuring takes on some of the ubiquitous mansion items (i.e. Giant chandeliers, “exotic” artifacts such as pottery/china, architectural elements such as ornate cornices, a heavy wooden library, the family portrait, the giant fireplace, a stuffed animal head, hand painted wall paper, etc.).
