The 3D Print Lab Studio Technician will work as part of the Art and Design studio staff to manage the making facilities Arcadia’s University’s Digital Fabrication Lab. This position will help oversee all shop activities within the digital fabrication studio to ensure safe operations of equipment and tools, guiding students in the digital fabrication related skills and techniques. Duties include but not limited to: supervising student staff, maintenance repair and operation of shop equipment such as the CNC, laser cutters and 3D printers, work with faculty and students to achieve pedagogy needs, oversee safety of students and all users within the studios, and aid in management of material inventory and supplies. The studio technician will foster a positive learning environment through patience, excellent communication skills and expertise in making techniques related to digital fabrication.
