Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania invites all artists to participate in a juried exhibition of small works on paper in conjunction with The 25th Annual International Conference on Virginia Woolf. This international exhibition heralds the opening of the Greenly Art Gallery at Bloomsburg University.
In keeping with the theme of the conference, Virginia Woolf and Her Female Contemporaries, preference will be given to works inspired or broadly influenced by those female artists who were contemporaneous with Virginia Woolf, including but not limited to Berenice Abbott, Anni Albers, Vanessa Bell, Ilse Bing, Romaine Brooks, Claude Cahun, Dora Carrington, Leonora Carrington, Imogen Cunningham, Gisèle Freund, Barbara Hepworth, Hannah Höch, Frida Kahlo, Loïs Mailou Jones, Ergy Landau, Lee Miller, Lucia Moholy, Gabriele Münter, Georgia O’Keeffe, Méret Oppenheim, Grete Stern, Dorothea Tanning, Suzanne Valadon, and Remedios Varo.
Open to all artists who are 18 years of age or older. All work must be original and cannot have been exhibited at Bloomsburg University before. It is at the jurors’ discretion to choose single or multiple works from each artist’s submission.
Works on paper (15” x 11” or smaller) in all traditional and experimental visual arts media, including photography, will be considered.

Rosalyn Richards received her BFA from the Rhode Island School of Design and MFA from Yale University School of Art. Her work is represented in many museum and university gallery collections, including the Art Institute of Chicago, the Hood Museum of Dartmouth College, Yale University Art Gallery, Minneapolis Institute of Art, the Ackland Art Museum of the University of North Carolina, The Samek Art Museum of Bucknell University, Purdue University Galleries, and Vanderbilt University Fine Arts Gallery, among others. She has held artist residencies at numerous locations in the United States, including Virginia Center for Creative Arts and Ragdale in Illinois. She was a visiting artist and critic at Colby College, Cornell University, the University of Dallas and Tianjin Academy of Fine Arts in Tianjin, China. Richards retired as Professor of Art at Bucknell University in 2014.
Chad Andrews received his BFA in studio art from Kutztown University and his MFA in printmaking from the University of Pennsylvania. He has taught at The University of Pennsylvania for five years, and held the position of Director of Visual Arts at the Interlochen Center for the Arts (Interlochen, MI) for six years. He is currently a full-time instructor of printmaking and 2-dimensional design at Bloomsburg University. He maintains a private studio at the Pajama Factory in Williamsport, Pennsylvania.
$25 for up to three entries submitted. $5 for each additional entry. Number of entries is limited to six. Fees are non-refundable.
