Deadline: April 15, 2017
“Souls Shot” Exhibition
Call for Artists working in any media, to create a portrait of a victim of gun violence or who have already created such a work. This exhibition is meant to bring attention to the devastating effects of gun violence in our communities. Entrants will be paired with a victim or they may propose a portrait of someone already known to them. The definition of portrait is to be broadly interpreted. The goal is to present diverse works that in some way relay the essence of the person, either graphically or in narrative. Non-juried entry. Space is limited: first-come, first-served. Cash prizes awarded. Color catalog. Proceeds benefit Heeding God’s Call to End Gun Violence, a multi-denominational, multi-cultural, faith-based organization whose mission is to end gun violence.
This exhibition will be an integral part of the Festival of Music and Arts at the Presbyterian Church of Chestnut Hill, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and in conjunction with Heeding God’s Call to End Gun Violence.
