The Wayne Art Center is proud to announce the 11th Annual Wayne Plein Air Festival. This year’s juror, plein air artist and illustrator Don Demers, will select around 30 artists to travel to Wayne, Pennsylvania to paint the beautiful local landscapes. Plein air artists working in all painted media are invited to enter their work online at www.waynepleinairentry.org.
Now in its 11th year, the Wayne Plein Air Festival has grown to be one of the most successful celebrations of landscape painting on the East Coast, drawing top plein air artists from across the country, including Mark Boedges, Stuart White, Charlie Hunter and Tim Kelly. Over $15,000 in awards will be selected and presented by the juror at the Preview Party on May 13, 2017.
1. Entry is open to plein air artists in all painted media. Registration is from November 10th, 2016 to March 1st, 2017.
2. Entries must be submitted online through www.waynepleinairentry.org. The entry fee is $45 and must be paid by PayPal, credit card or personal check. All entries must be paid in full by March 1st, 2017; unpaid entries will not be considered by the juror.
3. Artists may submit up to three paintings representing their body of work. Professional digital images must be in JPEG format at a minimum of 300 dpi, no larger than 1800 pixels on the longest side.
4. Works submitted must have been completed after January 1, 2014 and must be authentic plein air style paintings that were not completed in the studio.
