72nd Annual Awards Painting Show
April 12th, 2014 – May 10, 2015
Juror: Sharon Ewing – -Director, Gross McCleaf Gallery
Entry Conditions/Fee: Professional artists, 18 years or older, may enter two/ two-dimensional wall painting executed within the last two years, not previously shown in any Cheltenham Center for the Arts exhibits, wired and ready for hanging. All painting media accepted: no prints, multiples, crafts, sculptures or photographs. No wet or ill prepared work. White mat and simple, light colored frames strongly suggested. Work on stretchers does not have to be framed, but edges should have clean appearance without visible staples or tacks.
No late entries. All accepted work must remain for the duration of the exhibition. Non-refundable Entry Fee: $25.00 one/ $30 for two pieces! CCA reserves the right to reproduce the work for purposes of promoting this exhibit and/or CCA.
Art in Bloom, on Saturday, April 25th in conjunction with the Painting Show. This event pairs 20 local floral designers/artists with specific paintings in the exhibit. Each floral artist will be paired with a painting and then create a unique arrangement as their interpretation of the chosen work. Designs will be unveiled and floral prizes awarded on the evening of the 25th at a festive reception. Paintings will not be moved or handled in any way as part of this event.
Insurance and Sales: All work is insured for fire and theft on the premises with a $500.00 deductible. CCA is not responsible for damage to work submitted. A 30% commission will be retained on all sales.
Hand Delivery: Friday, March 27th 10- 3pm, Saturday, March 28th 10am- 12noon,
& Monday, April 6th 10am – 3pm.
Acceptance Notification: COB April 7th 2014
Unaccepted Work Pick Up: Wednesday April 8th & Thursday, April 9th, 10am-3pm
Opening Reception: Sunday, April 12th 2015, 2-4pm
Art in Bloom- Fundraiser Saturday, April 25h 2015, 5-7pm $25 per Guest
Accepted Work Pick Up: Monday, May 11-Wednesday May 13, 10am-3pm
