Deadline: August 17, 2016
Art is everywhere, just waiting to be discovered. What will you create?
Since 2010, BOMBAY SAPPHIRE and the Rush Philanthropic Arts Foundation have provided emerging artists with an international platform to showcase their work. The Bombay Sapphire Artisan Series is a search to discover this year’s next big name in visual arts. Thousands will submit their artwork online and selected artists will be rewarded with a platform to share their artistry with curators, collectors, and art enthusiasts around the world.
Artwork and Entry Requirements:
Create an original piece of visual art that is inspired by your imagination (your “Artwork”). The Artwork may not be a reproduction of any existing work. We’ll accept any visual art format, except film. Once your Artwork is complete, take a high-resolution picture of your Artwork. The picture will constitute your “Entry.” The Entry must be in JPEG format with a maximum image size of 500 KB.
Neither your Artwork nor your Entry may: (i) be targeted to people under twenty-one (21) years old; (ii) feature people who are under twenty-five (25) years old; (iii) encourage, condone, promote, or glamorize under-age, excessive, or irresponsible consumption of alcohol products, drunk driving, or any behavior considered to be anti-social, illegal, or immoral or suggest that the consumption of beverage alcohol will lead to social or sexual success; (iv) violate anyone else’s rights, including their copyrights, trademark rights, or rights of privacy or publicity; or (v) contain any defamatory statements or threats. In addition, your Entry must comply with the Code of Responsible Practices for Beverage Alcohol Advertising and Marketing of the Distilled Spirits Council of the United States, Inc. and the CRTC Code for Broadcast Advertising of Alcoholic Beverages.
How to Enter:
Visit www.bombayartisan.com and follow the instructions to fill out the entry form and submit your Entry. Only Entries submitted between 12:00:01 AM ET on June 9, 2016 and 11:59:59 PM ET on August 17, 2016 will be eligible. You may submit multiple Entries, but each Entry must be a picture of a different Artwork.
All Entries that comply with these Official Rules will be included in an online competition.
The Grand Prize winner will receive a cash stipend to create a body of work for a solo exhibit at SCOPE Miami Beach 2017 and the opportunity to complete a public installation in 2017. The First Place Winner and People’s Choice Winner will each receive a cash stipend to create a solo exhibit at a gallery in their region.
