Deadline March 17: The City of Bellevue, Washington is seeking artists/artist teams to create site-responsive artwork for Phase 1 the Meydenbauer Bay Park development, a significant linear open space that will connect the urban core to the shoreline of Lake Washington. The city envisions a public park characterized by excellence in design and environmental restoration that serves as both respite within the city and connection between the city and the lake. Three public art opportunities and sites are identified for this first phase development: 1) the Ravine, restored riparian forest with day-lighted stream and lakeshore viewpoints, 2) the Beach House, and 3) the Promenade and the Pier including the opportunity to work on stormwater channels and outfall, pedestrian pier, and retaining walls and park identity features.
