The Delaware Center for the Contemporary Arts (DCCA), a non-collecting art museum located on Wilmington’s Riverfront, is seeking a 15 – 20 hour per week Education Intern beginning on or about June 1, 2015 and ending on or about August 7, 2015. The Education Intern assists the Curator of Education and Education Associate with administrative duties and research associated with the DCCA’s varied and numerous education programs. The Education Intern is responsible for assistance with administrative duties, program documentation, and the communication of DCCA education programs to the public. The Education Intern will also be very closely involved preparation and implementation of DCCA Summer Art Camps, including registration and program activities. Preference will be given to candidates with a strong interest in contemporary art and to those wishing to pursue a career in the museum field.
Minimum Education Required
Undergraduate (junior/senior standing); graduate work preferred
The position requires a detail-oriented multi-tasker who is interested in a future in an art or education related field. The DCCA seeks an individual who works well in a team situation, is flexible, and has a strong work ethic; good writing and computer skills are essential.
This is an unpaid internship.
