Deadline August 24: The Delaware Center for the Contemporary Arts (DCCA), a non-collecting art museum located on Wilmington’s Riverfront, is seeking a 10-15 hour per week Intern beginning on or about September 1, 2015 and ending on or about December 15, 2015. The Intern assists the Curatorial department with administrative duties and research associated with the DCCA’s exhibitions. The Intern is responsible for assisting Exhibition Designer during install, deinstall and gallery prep, preparation of exhibition materials and organization of artist calls, as well as additional administrative duties. Preference will be given to candidates with a strong interest in contemporary art and to those wishing to pursue a career in the museum field. InDesign and Photoshop experience preferred.
Minimum Education Required
Undergraduate (junior/senior standing)
The position requires a detail-oriented, hands on multi-tasker who is interested in a future in a contemporary art related field. The DCCA seeks an individual who works well in a team situation, is flexible, and has a strong work ethic; good writing and computer skills are essential.
