Artist's Statement

I am dedicated to the seemingly endless amount of curiosity and creativity I have been gifted with.

My love is creating whimsical, captivating pieces of work.

I adore working with paper collage, I love recreating the image of my imagination and the challenge of creating in layers, it keeps me constantly engaged and aware of my composition. My process start’s with two or three color’s . I envision for the piece and from that point there is very predictable applications as well as very unpredictable.

My gourd carving happen quite by accident, while visiting and Amish farm in Lancaster PA many moons ago, I saw these amazing shaped things growing in the fields, after my “Gourds101” session with farmer Henry the rest is history .I was never very successful painting on canvas but the gourds with their interesting shapes and textures opened a whole new world for me.
It’s an amazing journey.

My wish for you is my artwork is that it makes you as happy, inspired, and grateful as it makes me.
