The 3rd Annual Conroe Art League Invitational Show (2018) is being held in The Gallery at the Madeley Building in Historic Downtown Conroe, TX. The gallery is a premier exhibit space in a renovated 100-year old building that once housed an early telephone company.
The show will hang in the gallery through the month of March and be on display during Arts Week in Conroe. Conroe is a thriving arts community with over a dozen arts organizations in the Greater Conroe Arts Alliance which includes two live Theatres, a Symphony, a Literary Arts Society a Choral Society and more. Arts Week will highlight the National Invitational Show as well as The Young Texas Artists Competition, an internationally acclaimed classical music competition. This will bring an influx of arts patrons to the city which was recently named as the fastest growing city in the U.S.
The show will be judged by Peter Andrew. Peter works as a fine artist with respect for color to express emotions. Known primarily for landscape, Andrew’s work is at once figurative and abstract. Andrew strives to communicate a sense of awe about the observable world, hoping to bridge “the material with the immaterial.” Peter Andrew’s artwork can be viewed at www.peterandrew.net
