The ukulele is a popular and fun instrument to make and play. This 5-day workshop is an opportunity to build a tenor size ukulele. The style of the ukulele is based on the Martin ukulele with a dovetail neck. You do not need to be able to play ukulele in order to build one. No woodworking experience is needed. Wood selection, bending, fretting, and shaping are just a few things that will be accomplished. The ukulele should be assembled and ready to play by the end of the workshop.
Some finishing may possibly be required after the workshop because of time constraints. The result will be a beautiful family heirloom!
A materials fee of $135 is included in the tuition.
