Featuring: Carol Taylor-Kearney
Coming off stay-at-home orders, we are all too familiar with the experience of being trapped in a space. In her upcoming exhibition at Atlantic Gallery in New York, “Carol Taylor-Kearney: The Process of an Artist’s Mind”, Ms. Taylor-Kearney uses the “Zimmerbild”, or “Room Portrait” of her studio to contemplate notions on Visual Art: its language, materials, subjects, and history, as well as her own life experience. She then makes “window paintings” that allow observers to follow along with her mental connections. The windows she uses are found objects that include small domestic to large factory windows and even two full doors,
“Carol Taylor-Kearney: The Process of an Artist’s Mind” will show at Atlantic Gallery Thursday, September 10th, 2020 through Saturday, September 26th, 2020. The gallery has mask and social distancing requirements.
