A Site-Specific Installation Especially for Basta Pasta
Over 20 pieces of Yvette Cohen’s artwork have been created especially for Basta Pasta
the renowned Japanese-Italian restaurant in the heart of the Flatiron district of New York City.
You’ll see art throughout the restaurant:over the bar, on the side walls, in the back room.
You’ll see volumes that seem to float in space.
The entire restaurant becomes the canvas.
Basta Pasta was established in Tokyo in 1985 and modeled after the TV program Iron Chef
as a totally open Kitchen Theater. New York’s Basta Pasta opened in 1990.
The installation will be on view April, May and June 2017.
