Constant Bearing by David Eichenberger @ Space 1026

April 7, 2017 - April 28, 2017

Event Navigation

Constant bearing is a nautical term that comes from “constant bearing, decreasing range.” C.B.D.R. is when two ships are slowly getting closer, but maintaining the same relative bearing. If this continues, the two ships will collide. Through animal allegories, his show “constant bearing” speaks about the current climate of the world, whether it be political or environmental. Through it he represents the frustration that he sees from his friends and loved ones and even people that he does not agree with, having to face the new realities that we all are living in.

David Eichenberger was born in 1979 in Raleigh, North Carolina. He graduated in 2000 with a BFA in illustration from The Savannah College Of Art and Design. He currently lives and works in Raleigh NC as an illustrator, muralist, and painter.
