Ms. Miluski, a native of Wallingford, Pennsylvania, is a graduate of Nether Providence High School and Brown University. After Brown, where she earned a degree in chemistry, she was married and became a homemaker. In 1976, after raising five children, she returned to her first interest, drawing and painting. After a few years learning at the Community Arts Center in Wallingford, she began to travel for study. She became a teacher. She taught music and dance for 20 years at the School in Rose Valley, meanwhile teaching watercolor painting at the Community Arts Center, Darlington and the Wayne Arts Center. In 1993, she was elected the first woman president of the Philadelphia Watercolor Society, which celebrated its 100th birthday in 2000. For fifteen years, she has served on the Board of Directors for the Rittenhouse Square Fine Art Show. In 2012, the Rose Valley Historical Society honored her with a retrospective at the Old Mill in Rose Valley. She has also mounted one woman shows at Darlington Fine Art Center (15), Swarthmore College, Hedgerow Theatre, and the Community Arts Center. More information may be found at www.janebmiluski.com.
