the rhythm of life involves the creation and resolution of mysteries
“I use my expressionistic knowledge to explore and experiment within the abstract world. I have always been expected to maintain the same illustration style, but this work is a breach. 150/90 is an edition of paintings that capture my intense level of labor using spray cans. The process of spray painting–lots of layering and unstructured techniques– is so intense that my blood pressure often rises close to the point of no return. Malt liquor can have the same effect. But I am fascinated by spray paint; I relish in its free range and unapologetic nature.” FRKO is a black artist from Atlanta, Georgia.
