Muse Gallery is pleased to present Passed//Past, an exhibition of recent paintings by Jean Broden. The paintings will be on view from July 3 through 28, with a First Friday opening on July 5 from 5-8:30 PM and an Artist Reception on Thursday, July 11, from 5-9 PM. Gallery hours during the exhibition are Wednesday through Sunday, 12-5 PM.

Broden’s work at Muse consists of both urban street scenes and vintage still life objects. In both subjects the focus is on the past, architecturally or in product design. The work is meant to give the viewer pause; to reflect on ordinary objects and places in a new light – one of design. The imagery comes from photographs of the places that she travels through on a regular basis in and around the Philadelphia area, or from objects collected in those travels.
