Featuring: Ken Karlic
This exhibit brings together three artists, each distinct in the materials used, yet linked by the somewhat loose, organic style they each utilize. These artists approach their work with the same suggestion of technique, but with completely different results. Ken Karlic works in watercolor, Edmond Praybe employs oils, while Christopher Stephen Koch works on plaster; each unique medium creating an individual and personal relationship to the subject conveyed. Their work is thoughtful and serious, while the imprecise nature of technique allows the admirer to form a more personal connection, and the similarities present in each artist’s approach to the work only makes the divergence of the works all the more magnificent to regard.
To learn more about the artists, their inspiration and technique, an Artist Talk will be held on Saturday, February 23 from 4-6pm.
