During the first four weeks of this class, you will explore the basics of landscape painting using photo references and laptops or iPads. The last four weeks of this class will focus on portrait painting from a live model. This class will include demonstrations and the emphasis will be on color, draftsmanship, and composition.
Steve Kennedy is a painter and print maker from Fort Washington, PA. He was an apprentice to Danni Dawson and to Nelson Shanks and studies print making with Merle Spandorfer. He has taught oil painting for over thirty years. Public collections include The Upper House of Parliament, Bermuda; The Atheneaum of Philadelphia; The Academy of Natural Sciences, Philadelphia; and Germantown Academy, Fort Washington, PA.
