The Penn MFA Lecture Series Presents: Matthew Sepielli 

Matthew Sepielli is a visual artist living and working in Philadelphia. His work has been shown recently at Momenta Art, Orgy Park and Schema Projects, the Woodmere Art Museum, Tiger Strikes Asteroid, and as a part of Temporary Allegiance at Gallery 400, The University of Illinois, Chicago. In March of 2015, Matthew was an artist in residence at the Tyrone Guthrie Centre in Newbliss, Ireland. From 2009 to 2012 he was the Director of Tiger Strikes Asteroid, an artist-run space started in Philadelphia. Recent curatorial and writing projects include “Broadcast from Cedarburg, New Jersey” at Bannerette Gallery in NY and the website “The the Universe: 1918.”

Sepielli received his BFA from Tyler School of Art and his MFA from Bard College. In August 2016, Matthew was appointed an Assistant Professor of Painting and Drawing at Tyler School of Art.
