Years ago, Fei Li endeavored on her first site-specific, spatial drawing in an Italian medieval Church. She came to find that the deinstallation process was quite painful for her–the prospect of losing a creation forever. For her Israel project she decided to involve the audience in the deinstallation process and found it enormously touching. At the end each viewer was left with a small piece of the material as a token of the time and spirit of the work. In this closing event First Street Gallery and Fei Li invite you to participate in the deinstallation of the spatial drawing in the project room. You will be gifted a few lines of I-Ching with the artist’s writing on traditional Chinese Xuan Paper.
