This year, MOCA will present the Generational Legacy Award to the Tsai Family from Long Island, New York, whose family members Erh-Ping Tsai, Cynthia Chuang, and Sue Tsai are acclaimed for their excellence in the arts. They will also honor Tzi Ma (Legacy Award), beloved Hong Kong American actor and director; The Honorable Mae Yih (Legacy Award), pioneering public servant and the first Chinese American state legislator from Portland, Oregon; and Michelle Koo Hayashi and Jess Ting, M.D. (Legacy Award), New York-based philanthropist and plastic surgeon of the Mount Sinai Center for Transgender Medicine and Surgery, respectively, who are advocates for the LGBTQ+ community.
