First up in the fun-filled day will be a guided tour of Magic Gardens, a unique gallery and community arts center. You’ll enjoy the art of Isaiah Zagar, a visionary mosaic artist and visit outdoor sculpture gardens/murals spanning a ½ block on Philadelphia’s famous South Street.
The tour’s next stop will be The Museum of the American Revolution where you will enjoy a journey through the remarkable story of America’s founding and gain a deeper understanding of people, events, and ideas that gave birth to our nation. Your tour guide will enhance the experience with additional insights into the artifacts and exhibits on display and provide behind the scenes details of the museum’s creation.
Your final stop will be the Moshulu for a delicious lunch aboard the oldest and largest tall ship still afloat. Build in 1904 in Glasgow, the Moshulu enjoyed a colorful past as a cargo ship carrying a variety of goods to many exotic ports. First Lady Woodrow Wilson renamed the ship Moshulu to honor the Native American Seneca Indian Tribe. Moshulu means “One Who Fears Nothing”. Following lunch, the tour will take a short tour of the ship.
