Philly Group Crit is a community of serious artists at various levels, who come together to learn, grow, and be inspired while inspiring others.
It is always free to everyone.
Thanks so much to PAFA for hosting this crit and special thanks to the most wonderful Kate McCammon for inviting Philly Group Crit and doing the work to set this all up.
VERY IMPORTANT: The entrance to the crit is through the PAFA Hamilton Building student entrance, not through the Museum Entrance on N. Broad Street. The Student Entrance is near Cherry Street, indicated by a large Airplane Sculpture:
They are asking for the list of who’s coming by 01/23, so make sure you sign up before then.
If you want to attend or present, please visit https://www.phillygroupcrit.com to register and/or sign up for the crit.
Six artists will present their work. If the presentation spots are spoken for, you can put yourself on the wait list in case someone drops out. PGC asks those who have presented recently to please attend, but wait until a future meeting to present new work. It is vastly preferable to bring your work in person, but if for some reason you cannot, email your images to firstname.lastname@example.org a few days in advance of the crit, and they will project them assuming there is not too much light in the space.
If you have signed up but then at a later date, find that you cannot attend, please let PGC know by logging into the site to make that change. This is especially important if you have signed up to present your work.
They are especially interested in knowing what days and times would make it easiest for you to attend. In addition, if you have come to an earlier crit, and have any suggestions about things PGC might change or add please let them know. You can leave feedback on their site. If you know any other artists who you think might be interested in taking part in this crit, please forward this posting to them. Don’t hesitate to contact Robert Zurer if you have any questions or are interested in hosting a future crit in your studio.
