A little under two years ago, she started painting again, after a nearly twenty year hiatus. Rebecca came back to her practice with a fierce commitment to push herself, take risks, and find imagery and technique that reflected both the world around her and her emotional response to it. She has arrived, for the time being anyway, at abstract landscape, as a way of revering the natural world as well as reflecting on its constantly changing state. She is excited to share the results of her work thus far: a series of paintings inspired by rock formations from as close as Wissahickon Creek in Philadelphia, to Iceland and Wyoming.
