Stop by the gallery at Taller Puertorriqueño, right in the heart of Philadelphia’s Barrio, to witness Portales, an exhibition of a new series of work by Afro-Latino artist and cultural preservationist Samuel Lind. The featured work focuses on topics like racial justice, gentrification, and spirituality in his hometown of Loiza in Puerto Rico.
Portales (Portals) is the first significant exhibition of painting and sculpture of Samuel Lind, b. 1953, in Philadelphia. The show brings together several avenues of exploration within the Lind’s 50-year career. Some of which have not been exhibited together before.
The exhibition will run from October 4th 2019 –– January 11, 2020 at Taller Puertorriqueño. The exhibition is located at 2600 North 5th Street, Philadelphia PA
