October 28 – 30672

A collaborative event between The Clay Studio, The Center for Art in Wood, and Craft NOW Philadelphia

This symposium and workshop explores the intersection of traditional and cutting edge techniques used in the fields of wood and ceramics. Saturday symposium speakers include Glenn Adamson, curators Anne Harrison, Jennifer Zwilling, and Shelley Langdale, and several artists whose work will be represented in the exhibitions Transference: Transfer Printing in Contemporary Ceramic Art at The Clay Studio, and Wood, Revisited at The Center for Art in Wood.

On Sunday, artists Paul Scott and Charlotte Hodes will lead a workshop at Tyler School of Art informed by their shared and multifaceted approach to transfer ware. The workshop includes presentations, discussions on their working processes, and hands-on work on flat ware.
