Featuring: Terri Fridkin
Local artist Terri Fridkin will be exhibiting Double_Space at MUSE Gallery, 52 N 2nd Street in Old City
Philadelphia, April 1st – 26th. The public is invited to a First Friday Reception on April 3, 5-8 pm and an Artist’s Reception on Saturday, April 18, 2:30-4:30 pm.
Fridkin’s bold palette, balanced structure, and uncluttered compositions are core values in her abstract work. In Double_Space, she brings two vibrant bodies of non-objective work together in one space using different mediums; mixed-media prints and carved, painted wall objects. Both bodies of work originate from printmaking techniques and focus on vivid colors and a strong relationship to geometry. They reflect Fridkin’s minimal and graphic sensibility which embraces her gravitation towards order. These aesthetics provide a sense of harmony to counteract the chaos and overstimulation in our world today.
