Since 2013, Rashaad Newsome has staged his dance and performance competition the King of Arms Art Ball each year. The Champion Ball is a new iteration of this celebratory competition, and will feature the talents of Philadelphia’s vogue communities with additional participation from local guest commentators and judges from the worlds of art, music, fashion and media.
Black Magic is comprised of three separate elements: To Be Real, a presentation of Newsome’s ongoing critically acclaimed performance FIVE, and The Champion Ball, a vogue and performance competition.
