This exhibit features works by the members of ARTsisters, a vibrant group of professional women artists committed to giving back through volunteerism and donations of goods and services. For this show, the artists used visual and written storytelling to address human trafficking in everything from abstraction to realism. Red sand is incorporated as a design element in each of the pieces to connect diverse art styles, and as a symbolic message: red sand, sprinkled in public walkways, reminds us that we can’t just walk over people who have fallen between the cracks in our communities.
