Instructor: Deena Ball
Skill Level: No experience necessary. Teens and adults ages 14 and up
Whether you are a seasoned watercolorist or an absolute beginner, you will take something away from this fun workshop that focuses on the effects you can get only by painting in watercolor. The elements of art will be broken down in a manageable way and applied to our paintings throughout the day. You will learn about watercolor materials, techniques, value patterns and design. There will be a morning demo and then time for students to create. At lunchtime, Deena will give a slide show of various types of watercolor painting. In the afternoon, there will be another quick demonstration and time for students to paint. The class will end with a group critique. Students should learn class reinvigorated and excited about the endless possibilities that watercolor provides.
Deena can provide all materials needed for an additional materials fee of $35 per student.
Please bring a lunch – we will have a half hour break when we will view various watercolor paintings.
