WHITEBOX INTRODUCES: VIDEOART AT MIDNIGHT FESTIVAL

September 7, 2018 @ 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Event Navigation

WhiteBox is excited to announce an exclusive preview of the “Videoart at Midnight” film festival that opens on November 2018 in Berlin, Germany. Showcasing works by pioneers of German video art – Marcel Odenbach and Klaus vom Bruch – that will be shown at the Berlin edition of the festival, WhiteBox will expand the festival program by a screening of a film by Roger Welch – a pioneer of American video art.
Videoart at Midnight” was founded in 2008 by Olaf Stüber and Ivo Wessel in an attempt to bring attention to the most current film and video art production. Once a month, always on Friday at Midnight, the two art enthusiasts invite an artist to show his or her works on the big screen. Marking 10 years of successful midnight viewings, the first VAM festival is going to feature 100 films and videos by 100 artists from Berlin.
Join us for the evening of dialogue between German and American video art on September 7th. Marcel Odenbach’s Im Schiffbruch Nicht Schwimmen Koennen and Klaus vom Bruch’s Time Without End will start at 6pm.
