YallaPunk was created as a direct response to negative depictions of middle eastern and north african populations. The event is meant to celebrate the creative accomplishments of MENA individuals and serve as a safe, intersectional and inclusive free from sexism, islamophobia, transphobia, homophobia, and bigotry for discourse on social issues. Today, we exist as a community that continues to grow everyday. YallaPunk is a trans-affirming organization.
We’re thrilled to present another weekend of full programming this year to celebrate our one-year anniversary as an organization.
The event will be held at Johnny Brenda’s in the evening time and at several galleries throughout Crane Arts in the daytime throughout Labor Day weekend. We regret to share that Johnny Brenda’s is not a handicap accessible venue at this point in time, but Crane Arts is. There is a wheelchair ramp available, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org to make accommodations.
