The Revolutionary Germantown Festival returns Saturday, October 5th, 10am to 4pm, rain or shine! Cliveden and the sites of Historic Germantown collaborate to highlight the diverse stories of the people who lived through the American Revolution and the Battle of Germantown, on October 4, 1777.
New activities will be offered this year! Try your hand at candle dipping and basket weaving, view a blacksmithing demonstration, and learn about 18th-century upholstery with Ann King. Tours of Cliveden and member sites of Historic Germantown will also be available along with re-enactors portraying British and Continental soldiers, costumed historical interpreters from the Museum of the American Revolution, first-person interpreters sharing experiences of soldiers and women during the Revolution, food, and more.
The festival is free and open to all. Come out and explore our neighborhood's history!
The Revolutionary Germantown Festival is generously supported by Asher's Chocolate Company, Cheshire Law Group, John Milner Architects, Philadelphia250, Randall and Linda Miller, Tipsy Café and Catering, The Reed Group, and Wissahickon Landscape Design.
