Ley Lines showcases a collection of artwork that bridges the divide between the abstract and natural world. Harmonious moments in nature clearly inform these artists’ practices as they diverge from direct representation to varying degrees. In their most dynamic form, both natural influence and aesthetic deviations are clearly observed. This opportunity to trace paths of artistic consideration recall the pseudoscientific phenomenon of ley lines.
Once believed to imply unforeseen significance, ley lines connect apparent alignments of landmarks, religious sites, and man-made structures. In more general terms they indicate connections between the physical world and perhaps something more, just out of sight. This collection artwork does much of the same as we are left to contemplate the space between inspiration and expression.
